In this BuhoCleaner Online manual guide, we will show you how to make changes in BuhoCleaner Preferences.

Preferences - General

To allow BuhoCleaner always check for update on its own, enable the Automatically keep BuhoCleaner up to date option.

Click Check For Updates to see if there is a new version available for update.

The make best use of your Mac, it’s recommended to enable the Show icons on menu bar on startup option, which allows BuhoCleaner to open on your startup and start to monitoring your Mac performance without disturbing your work.

Preferences - Flash Clean

We designed the Flash Clean feature in BuhoCleaner for delivering the most efficient and convenient Mac cleaner solution. If you have some particular cleaning items that you want to keep intact, enable/disable the check box on the left side of each item. To determine if let BuhoCleaner make the auto selection, turn the Auto Select switch to blue (enable) or gray (disable).

If you feel these Mac cleaning settings somehow is messed or you get confused on your choices, click Restore Defaults to undo all changes.

Preferences - Large Files

On default, BuhoCleaner sorts all files that’re larger than 50MB in Large Files. If you want to redefine the gauge, change the rule by clicking the selection icon and choosing a new size.

Preferences - Duplicates

In Scan Settings, you can enable the Scan hidden folders if needed option to search for duplicates in hidden folders.

To speed up the file scanning process, you can choose to auto skip small files.

In Ignore Folders panel, click Plus or Minus icon to Add or Remove folders that you don’t want BuhoCleaner to scan for duplicates. Use Restore Defaults to undo changes.

Want to always keep some files that are with certain format extensions? Easy. In Ignore Extensions panel, find the file extensions in list window and click the check box to Select/Deselect it.

If you don’t find the file extensions in the default list, click Plus or Minus icon to Add or Remove one that you don’t want BuhoCleaner to scan for duplicates. Use Restore Defaults to undo changes.

We built BuhoCleaner to serve carefully for cleaning and optimizing your Mac. You can use the Selection Rules panel to set your priority rules for scanning certain files folders. Click Plus or Minus icon to Add or Remove the folder that you don’t want BuhoCleaner to scan. Use Restore Defaults to undo changes.

Preferences - Status Menu
