Set Up Trackpad Gesture
BuhoLaunchpad allows you to open or dismiss your app launcher instantly using intuitive 4-finger/5-finger trackpad gestures. This feature puts your apps literally at your fingertips, enhancing workflow efficiency and providing a smooth, native-like experience.
- Open BuhoLaunchpad’s Settings > General > navigate to the Trackpad Gesture section.
- From the dropdown box, choose Four-Finger pinch or Five-Finger pinch.
- Click Open System Settings to grant Accessibility.
Click Open System Settings when you see the confirmation window:
- By clicking Open System Settings, you'll be directed to System Settings > Privacy & Security > Accessibility.
Find BuhoLaunchpadServer in the list, Turn it ON. There is no need to manually add BuhoLaunchPad.app to the list. The required item is BuhoLaunchpadServer.
- Quit BuhoLaunchpad and reopen it.
Why 4-finger Pinch Not Working:
The 4-finger pinch may cause conflict with your macOS default settings, such as triggering Apps/Spotlight, or showing/hiding Desktop. To ensure BuhoLaunchpad responds to your 4-finger pinch gestures smoothly, please follow these steps:
- Go to System Settings > Trackpad > More Gestures and turn off Show Desktop.
- Important: remember to relaunch BuhoLaunchpad from the setting menu.
At this point, pinch with four fingers then you'll launch BuhoLaunchpad > spread with four fingers, BuhoLaunchpad will disappear. If you spread with four fingers again, the Desktop won't show up because the Show Desktop option is turned OFF.
Simply enable Show Desktop option, then you can pinch with four fingers to open BuhoLaunchpad, spread with four fingers to quit BuhoLaunchpad, then spread with four fingers again to show Desktop.
