I Tested Fixppo, and It Gets My iDevices Back to Normal (2025)
Here is my firsthand experience with iMyFone Fixppo. Learn how it is more effective to resolve iOS system issues than Apple’s traditional methods.
Every time I encountered issues with my iPhone, I would feel disappointed. I didn’t want to take them to the after-sales service center, because I was worried about the potential risks of data loss and data security.
That’s when I discovered iMyfone Fixppo. From repairing minor errors like black screens and boot loops to more complex system issues like forgotten screen passcodes and DFU stuck issues, it can fix almost all the issues I encounter in most cases.
Here, I’d like to share with you my firsthand experience with this amazing tool. With a comprehensive overview of its advantages and limitations, you’ll see whether it’s worth giving it a try.
I downloaded iMyFone Fixppo from its official website. The interface was clear and intuitive. It offers several modes to repair my Apple devices - from Standard Repair mode and Advanced Repair mode to Reset iDevices and Enter and Exit the Recovery Mode.
Standard Repair Mode
I started by testing the standard repair mode. My test victim was an iPhone 12 that was stuck in a boot loop after updating to iOS 17.
I clicked on the Standard mode, and it promised to fix the issue without data loss. Within seconds, Fixppo automatically detects the right 17.6.1 IPSW. It was 7.46 GB, and then I hit the Start button.
The progress bar crawled for about 15 minutes while my device rebooted twice. Finally, the Apple logo was steady. Then I opened Photos, and I was happy to find my 12,533 pictures were still there.
It’s ideal to use the Standard mode to fix freezing at the Apple logo, black or write screen, and more than 150 common issues without data loss.
However, the greatest drawback is that it could be time-consuming to download the firmware, especially if the internet connection is slow.
Advanced Repair Mode
Next, I used another iPhone to test its Advanced Repair mode. This device was disabled because I had forgotten my screen passcode. The Standard mode couldn’t bypass that, so I turned to the Advanced mode.
As I had a recent iCloud backup, it was acceptable to erase the data on this device. After hitting the Advanced Repair mode, it automatically detected my device model and displayed the firmware versions it could use.
I chose an appropriate firmware version and started to download it. As it might take a lot of time to finish downloading, I ensured a stable network speed in advance.
Once the firmware was downloaded, I clicked on the “Start Advanced Repair” button to initiate the repair process.
It’s more effective to use the Advanced Repair mode to resolve severe iOS issues. Although it is time-consuming to download the firmware package, it can also result in data loss on the device.
Considering potential data loss, you can fix the issue with the Standard mode first. If it fails to fix the error, consider using the Advanced Repair mode. Besides, there are positive remarks about iMyFone’s customer support. If you failed to repair the system, you would get effective assistance to resolve your problems.
Enter/Exit the Recovery Mode
Every time I wanted to restore my iDevice with iTunes, I needed to boot my device into recovery mode.
However, it can be time-consuming to enter the recovery mode. It involves several steps and requires you to press a combination of buttons. Even the specific methods vary from model to model.
In this case, it’s more convenient to enter the recovery mode with a click. I tapped on Fixppo’s Recovery mode and clicked the “Enter” button on the interface.
In a few minutes, my device successfully entered recovery mode. I could see the Recovery mode screen on my iPhone screen. It displayed a cable and an iTunes icon.
Then I opened iTunes to see if it could detect my device. In a few seconds, it automatically detected that my device was in Recovery mode. Then I followed the steps to restore my iPhone.
After restoring the device, my iPhone restarted. In most cases, I could automatically exit the Recovery mode during the restart. But if you failed to exit the Recovery mode, you could use Fixppo.
I successfully exited the Recovery mode, so I forced my iPhone into the Recovery mode again to test how it could exit the Recovery mode.
Again, the phone got out of the Recovery mode with one simple click. I repeated this group of features five times, and it worked smoothly every single time.
Reset iDevices
Finally, I’d like to test the “Reset iDevices” function.
It’s common to perform a factory reset when you face system issues or plan to sell your device. Apple offers official ways to reset your device, but it covers several steps, including entering the Recovery mode or the DFU mode.
Also, the official method requires me to enter the passcode to perform a factory reset and back up my data in advance.
Instead, Fixppo makes things much easier. It guided me through the process step by step. With the “hard reset” mode, I didn’t need to enter any passcode during the process. Particularly, it was useful when I was unable to unlock my device.
Moreover, Fixppo provided an option to back up the data within the software, so I didn’t need to launch iTunes or iCloud to make a backup.
Then I went back to the main interface and clicked on the “Reset” mode. The whole process was smooth and successful. It was completed in just a few minutes.
Meanwhile, I tested how long it would take to use the traditional way to reset my iPhone. The process could take longer because the traditional way involves the backup or restore steps.
Why I Use BuhoRepair as an Alternative to Fixppo?
Finally, I switched from iMyFone Fixppo to BuhoRepair. Both iPhone repair tools have similar functions and good after-sales service, but BuhoRepair seems cheaper than Fixppo. For the license for a single device, Fixppo costs $29.95 per month, which is equivalent to BuhoRepair’s lifetime license when it’s on sale.
Despite the price list, I find BuhoRepair to be lighter and faster when downloading firmware. Its installer is half the size of Fixppo’s, and BuhoRepair conveniently integrates downgrade, upgrade, and reset options into a single, clean window, unlike Fixppo, which separates them into multiple tabs.
Moreover, BuhoRepair offers 24-hour customer support, not just ticket-based assistance. This means I can get immediate help without filling out forms or waiting a long time for a response, especially useful when I need to fix iOS system issues urgently.
Conclusion
In conclusion, with a high success rate, Fixppo is ideal for fixing both standard and advanced iOS system issues. As it’s always up to date, it complies with the latest iOS models and systems. From restoring an iPhone to fixing iOS system errors, it makes everything easier than Apple’s traditional methods. As it may take more than 10 minutes to download the firmware, make sure you have a stable network connection in advance.
iMyFone Fixppo does offer a reliable and efficient solution, though you can take BuhoRepair as an alternative if you’re seeking a more cost-effective solution.
